Strawberry Basil Sorbet
This is a beautiful and delicious dessert to make with your loved ones this Valentine's Day – easy, refreshing and not too sweet!
What You Need:
2 pints / 1 quart of strawberries – hulled and cut in half
¾ cup of sugar
¾ cup of water
3 Tbs. of lemon juice
2 Tbs. of corn syrup
6 basil leaves (or so – this leaves a mild basil taste)
Directions:
Combine the sugar, water, and basil leaves. Bring to a boil. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove basil leaves.
Add the strawberries, lemon juice, corn syrup, and sugar syrup to a blender.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a container and freeze.
