Vegan Spiced Poached Pears

Want a simple and healthy go-to treat this Spring? We got you covered! This dessert can be eaten as is, or paired (no pun intended) with cake, whipped cream, or ice cream. 

What You Need:

4 pears, peeled, cut in half and cored

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of water

1 tsp. of cinnamon

½ tsp. of cloves

1 tsp. of vanilla extract


Put all ingredients except pears into a saucepan.

Heat until sugar is dissolved.

Place pear halves into the syrup and simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes.

Cool in syrup and store in refrigerator.

Serves: 4 if serving a whole pear to each person or 8 if serving ½ pear to each person.
